Shirley David graduated in 1984 and held management positions within the civil
service, private sector, and voluntary sector prior to launching Business & Employment
Support & Training (BEST) in 1998.
BEST provides management training and consultancy services to voluntary sector
organisations primarily within Wales.
As Training Development Manager for Surrey Training Enterprise Council she gained the City and Guilds Adult Trainers Award to compliment her teaching Diploma. She later attained the Financial Planning Certificate
(Parts I, II and III) whilst working as a building society manager and was a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute until 1998.
Shirley David is a current Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. She has a strong commitment to equal opportunities and is keen to support people with special needs. She completed the Level 3 Open College Network course in British Sign Language in 2006 and has experience of working with the Deaf community.
